Tourists love Chefchaouen

Chefchaouen or Chaouen is a mountain city in northeast Morocco. It is situated in the Rif Mountains, just inland from Tangiers and Tetouan. It was founded in 1471 by Moulay Ali Ben Rachid. Tourism in Chaouen is not only popular as a shopping destination, but it is also driven by its reputation as centre of the marijuana or hashish plantations region in Northern Morocco. It is well-known for its buildings in shades of blue.  If you want to relax for a few days from the rigors of travel, this is the right place for you. I hope these few videos might give you a little idea about this city, which was painted blue by the Jewish refugees who were living in this heavenly land during the 1930's.
