Tourists love Errachidia


Errachidia is a calm city in the south of Morocco; it used to be called Ksar Souk, but the King Hassan II turned it into its current name Errachidia after the “Massira Khadrae”, the green march. It was people from Errachidia who participated into masses in this extraordinary Moroccan event at the time. It was built by French during the last century. It is famous for its Ksours such as those in Erfoud and Rissani: Maadid has four Ksours: Mkaber Ksar, Ksar Ksir, Aabadla Ksar and Ksiba Ksar and many others. Also, Errachidia area is famous for the falling stars, which make many nomads come to search for them. Lots of tourists come to Maadid Ksour because it is set in the entrance of Erfoud town. It is a good area to discover the south of Morocco. Zize oasis is the biggest oasis in Africa; it exists in this area. Errisani and Errachidia is famous for its chorfa people; it is believed that they descend from the Alaouite dynasty. There is the shrine of Moulay Ali Sherief, the first king of Alaouite Dynasty, which is still existing in our days.
